The Holidays left us all too quickly and after two months of eating amazing meals, cookies, candies and enjoying delicious co*cktails I’ve found that I gained a little more weight than I would have liked.

I love food and I love trying new food that tastes amazing! So, to be honest, the thought if trying to diet or cut calories gives me a little bit of anxiety. I cannot imagine eating meals with no flavor or cutting out those extra recipes that I make just because they sound good and I want to give it a try.

This year, I’ve decided to make it my goal to make at least one healthier recipe a week, using strategies like cutting out butters and creams, using other ingredients to give these recipes some flavor. That’s where this Honey Orange Glazed Chicken recipe comes in. I was able to make a glaze using Florida’s Natural® Brand Orange Juice and some honey to give it a sweet coating that everyone loved!

Over the last year, we’ve been lucky enough to partner with Florida’s Natural on several different recipes including our Vodka Lemonade Iced Tea and Homemade Strawberry Lemonade Ice Pops.

Even though we drink Florida’s Natural Orange Juice with No Pulp all the time, this is the first we’ve created a recipe using it! I love that it gives the exact flavor of hand-squeezed orange juice but with so much less work!

How to Make Sriracha Honey Orange Chicken

Ingredients You Need

  • 4 Chicken Breasts
  • Salt & Pepper
  • 1 Cup Florida’s Natural Orange Juice
  • 1/2 Cup Honey
  • 1/4 Cup Sriracha Sauce
  • 1 tspGarlic, minced

Start byadding salt and pepper your chicken breasts on both sides.

Next, brown your chicken breasts on the stovetop over medium heat, I placed them in a pan and flipped them over once to brown each side nicely.

While the chicken breasts are browning create the glaze by pouring the orange juice, honey, sriracha sauce and garlic into a medium pot and bring to a boil.

Turn down to low heat and let it cook down for about 30 minutes or until it’s a glaze-like consistency.

Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish (or if your pan can go in the oven just use that) and spread a layer of the glaze over each breast.

Continue to cook in the oven at 375 until the breasts are cooked through. You can add more glaze to the chicken breasts halfway through cooking if you desire!

This recipe could easily be made in the slow cooker too. If you make it in the slow cooker, place all the ingredients in and cook on low for 4-6 hours. Use a spoon and pour the cause over the chicken breasts every hour or so.

How to Make an Easy Citrus Dressing

Ingredients You Need

  • 1/4 Cup Oil, I use Olive
  • 1/2 Lemon, juiced
  • 1/4 Cup Florida’s Natural Orange Juice
  • 2 tsp Honey
  • Zest from Orange

Place all the ingredients in a Mason Jar or Dressing shaker and mix well before pouring over your salad.

I use this Dressing Shaker, It’s got a metal blender ball inside to whisk, and an easy pour spout that closes so you can whisk between each pour. It’s especially nice for this dressing because it helps the honey mix in really nicely.I love using this bottle for homemade dressing!

I had originally intended to grill the chicken and add the glaze as I was cooking the chicken breasts, but with temperatures in the -30’s here in Iowa that wasn’t a great option. I cannot wait to make it this summer on the grill though! If you live in warmer areas this could be a great option for you now!
