SPD BELIEVES THERE WERE MULTIPLE SHOOTERS HERE AT PLAY. SPD RESPONDED TO A SHOTS FIRED CALL HERE AROUND 7:45 TONIGHT. WHEN THEY ARRIVED, THEY FOUND TWO PEOPLE SHOT. ONE MAN WE'RE TOLD BETWEEN 18 AND 20 YEARS OLD WAS SHOT SEVERAL TIMES, WITH LIFE- THREATENING INJURIES. A TEEN GIRL WAS SHOT IN THE FOOT. BOTH WERE TAKEN TO MEMORIAL HOSPITAL. WE'RE STILL WORKING TO LEARN THE EXACT NUMBER OF SHOOTERS AND THE CONDITION OF BOTH VICTIMS. SPD TELLS ME IT'S GOING TO RELEASE MORE DETAILS TOMORROW. Update 5:33 p.m.: The Chatham County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as Kewan Graham, 20. Update 11 a.m.: Savannah Police now say one of the victims has died from their injuries.According to information released Wednesday morning by SPD, the male victim died at the hospital. His identity has not been released.A suspect, Zymael Richardson, 19, was taken into custody, charged with aggravated assault and murder.The investigation is ongoing.Initial report:A shooting in Savannah sent a man and a teenage girl to Memorial Health Medical Center Tuesday night. Savannah Police said the shooting happened around 7:45 p.m. in the 600 block of Brewer Street, which is near Herbert Kayton Homes public housing. Police said the man is in critical condition after being shot multiple times. The teenager was shot in the foot. Both victims have been taken to the hospital. WJCL 22 News crew at the crime scene reports seeing more than a dozen patrol cars on the scene. No arrests have been made. The motive is still unknown. Detectives are looking into the possibility of multiple gunmen involved.Savannah Police said another shooting happened earlier on nearby Gwinnett and Magazine streets. No one was injured and investigators don't know if the two crimes are connected.
