Minnetonka School District is one of the best school districts in the state of Minnesota. As a choir kid not only does it have some of or considered the best choir, orchestra, band, and theater programs. It’s home to some of the best athletics. From great hockey, to being able to run in cross country. It has multiple clubs ranging from all different types of interest. There is a community for everyone, and I have been able to find one at Minnetonka. Teachers are always so helpful willing to take time out of their day to help you. They care about us and strive to teach us. Our coaches and directors build very inclusive communities. And the arts programs recently were able to go on tour in Italy and Austria. Allowing students create lifelong memories.

Overall, the Minnetonka School district is set in a very wealthy and successful community. It's located by Lake Minnetonka, where much of the wealthy Minnetonka Alumni reside. As a result of this, the diversity in the school district overall is very low. This causes people of color attending the High school feel a significant divide between themselves and the other white students. This situation divides the community within the school, and it becomes clear in the school's alumni community that theres a separation between the white students and the students of color. Although there is this unfortunate divide caused by systemic predispositions by location of the school, a benefit of the more wealthy community is the resources that the district provides students with. It provides many unique opportunities and a higher, more advanced level of learning. This leads to a more overall successful student body, and more prepared students.

Minnetonka Highschool is one of the best schools in Minnesota academics wise. Every teacher I've had (except for one) has been friendly and always willing to help or answer questions. There's always morning help since teachers are required to come in early 2 days a week, and this time has been super useful for me to study before any major exams. The best moments at this school ae always the fundraisers and sporting events. There's always super high energy and lots of parent and community involvement. My personal favorite was a fundraiser for the boys soccer program where there was a grill out, carnival games, and live soccer games for everyone to watch. Minnetonka really goes all out and it shows. My biggest complaint about Minnetonka is the quality of the restrooms and drinking fountains, many of which are broken or dirty. We have so much money that could go to fixing them, but instead the school chooses to spend it on new buildings and TVs that no one looks at.
